This week Ginger and I were able to go on a little walk and together, enjoy the picturesque fall beauty that thankfully, is still surrounding us.

The leaves she's standing in are from the majestic tree in the first image. I have a very strong suspicion that Ginger was thinking how wonderful a loo the lovely leaves would make...we best give her some privacy in case I'm correct...let's move on, shall we?!

I've always loved this little sidewalk...and when it's strewn with autumn leaves, it invites me even more so. The image below is of the leaves that are causing all the strewing.

There was still some green left (we'll allow it here, won't we Mise?) which made for some interesting contrasts in color, I must check and see if it is completely aflame now, before the ferocious winds that are prevalent at the moment carry them all away.

These golden torches just took my breath away. The sun was causing them to literally glow and sparkle, and we could have just stared at them all day...well at least I could have...Ginger being so short and all has a difficult time looking up for very long. Needless to say, she's picked up a lot so that she can be part of the above world.

I felt all nice and warm just standing next to them...

And finally, we're back at the towering, flaming cloud of beauty where our adventure had begun...you know, where the loo leaves are - but in respect to Ginger's modesty, we won't discuss that, we'll just admire the gorgeousness that once again I felt very privileged to see, especially as it was seen with my very special, dear little friend!

My Japanese maple in my courtyard is having its moment. I just sit outside in my breezeway and marvel at it. I'm right with you, and cherishing these crisp colorful days, before the gray sets in.
Best,
liz
Liz~ Your tree having 'it's moment' delighted me...loved that turn of phrase! Sadly, our gray has set in, and it's not only just gray, it's charcoal gray. The leaves do look very pretty against it though, for now! xo
So pretty! The trees look like they are on fire. The colours are just so vibrant! Love to be in America for Autumn...
Paragraph two was hilarious! Oh what an utterly beautiful neighbourhood, I love that little lane and the colours of the leaves are really stunning. Our leaves have all gone, we're at the ugly grim muddy stage outdoors.
Beautiful pics...walking this time of year is such a treat. Love Gingers winter coat:)
Hello Jessica:
You are so right to enjoy these wonderful autumnal tones and tints whilst you can. The colours are so tantalisingly fleeting that one must make the most of them whilst one can. And, how marvellous that we, through you, can enjoy them too!!
Good Morning
I love the little tow path and can understand how tempting it must be.
You have given us a wonderful range of colours
Thanks
Helen xx
Mis Ginger is a dear!
And so are you for taking such gorgeous pictures, the colors are brillantly fall!!!!!!!!!(OOPS AUTUMNAL)Maryanne ;)
RabbitTown~ Do you have fall color in AU at all anywhere?...I've always wondered about that. And yes, the leaves truly do look on fire...it's amazing! xo
B&P~ We do live in such a pretty area. After growing up in LA, I felt as if I had landed in the Garden of Eden when I arrived here, and to this day the beauty still astonishes me.
By the way...I'm very thankful that Ginger can't read! ;)
xo
Enchanted~ I almost think this time of year beats spring time for walking around beauty...almost! Ginger has a pink sweater that would have looked lovely against the leaves, but alas it had gotten muddy so she was forced to wear this one...it does stand out nicely though, doesn't it?! xo
Jane&Lance~ I'm sure you have glorious fall scenery in your part of the world as well, and I'm so happy that you came along on this walk with Ginger and I so that you could share and take part in ours! xo
Helen~ The house next to the path is one of my favorites as well, it's a fixer though, but I always imagne living in it, which would allow for daily use of the sweet little path...it's a dream of mine! xo
Maryanne~ I'm so thrilled that you enjoyed the 'Autumnal' ;) visions so much...and Miss. Ginger says thank you very much for thinking she is a dear (she really is you know?!)! :)
We feel so lucky! We just returned from the East Coast where we had all of our senses filled with fall brilliance. Your fall colors in WA are gorgeous. We've been in TX for 2 years but we've managed not to miss the spectacular display of colors! Sweet little Miss Ginger
Ridiculously beautiful. Like Mother Nature just couldn't decide on which one so she just made the whole place every fabulous color she could think of ... I love Autumn so much.
Here it is a pretty nice Spring but I still love Autumn best :)
Sarah~ Welcome home!!! It's wonderful that you've not been deprived of a beautiful Fall foliage since moving...I hope your track record continues for many Autumn's to come!! xo
aBroad~ Autumn does outshine Spring just the tiniest little bit doesn't it?...there's just something about the drama of it all, whereas Spring is more pretty, soft, and demure (I still love her though). xo
Mom does not look like Penny, but I am starting to look like my Mother--scary.
Best,
Liz
So beautiful! We're at the tail end of all our color. I already miss it!
xoTrina
I was away for a week and returned to the most beautiful leaves in Seattle. You are capturing the colors so well!
Beautiful photos Jessica...we have been so blessed this fall here on the West Coast...I can't remember a year when the colours have been so vibrant...reds, golds, and yellows...it has been glorious. Love little Ms Ginger
Liz~ You crack me up...and that image of her in those fab glasses truly had me fooled for a split second...really! ;)
Trina~ I'm not ready for it to end yet...all this lovely color seems to have only just gotten here, I wish it could last just a bit longer...I suppose we must start preparing ourselves for snow, which this year I'm sure your sweet babies will thoroughly enjoy! xoxo
Spendid~ I'm so glad you were able to come back in time to see it all...Seattle does wear her Fall colors beautifully, doesn't she?! xo
Victoria~ Your so right...it's been particularly beautiful this year, one to go down in the books!
Ginger's blushing by the way from all the love... ♥
xo J~
