Have you ever???

I haven't! Maybe it's because I've never had a Crab Apple tree...but my goodness if I had, there probably wouldn't have been many branches left on the poor tree to enjoy out of doors!

The lovely tree in the above two pictures is right around the corner from our house...and no, I didn't get mine from there...I actually got them at a local nursery on Mother's Day! I'd never seen them for sale before...ever, and I just couldn't pass them up. Funny thing is, we were there with and for my MIL, and she insisted on purchasing them for us...she wouldn't budge on it either, so they turned into a lovely gift, one I'm very grateful for.

I've always been in love with these trees for their umbrella shape (which I know you have to assist with), but now I'm coveting them even more for their cut flower abilities...and I'm certain now that one day, several will be
introduced into our garden...I can't wait!
BTW- didn't the name of this post sound like a yummy dessert from the 50's?)
(please forgive the repeat shot of the floral location...we literally have no actual furniture yet and our built-ins are the only pieces to set flowers on - long story - so for now, the dining room built-in will be the flower spot...for most bouquets, especially the large ones, the smaller ones I can sprinkle around the house.)

Hi Jessica, how pretty! I'm heading out tomorrow to try and swipe some clippings from unsuspecting neighbors!

Hello Jessica:
This arrangement is positively lovely. So fresh and spring-like, and providing a great sense of the outdoors indoors [if that makes sense!].
Flowers in the house are, in our book, an absolute must for they really do add a little something extra to the everyday life.
Megan...let me know how it goes, be sure to wear camo!! ;)
Jane&Lance...Thank you, and yes...it does make sense! I'm getting quite used to having flowers in the house now that 'flower weather' is here...I'm getting spoiled! xo
It did sound like a dessert! The flowers are just too lovely. Rachaelxx
I adore crab apple blossoms. We had one growing up - just beautiful. I just told my husband yesterday that I would like to have some more flowering trees in the yard!
Isn't it beautiful?! Summer!!

You are so very kind with your sweet comments! Did you just love scraping the vanilla bean and sniffing that natural goodness? An experience!
I am envious of those crab apple blossoms! I always enjoyed them living in Michigan and New York. There are beautiful flowering trees down here in Texas but those are quite spectacular in your vase.
If this is not spring...........
so lovely, so beautiful.
I adore the crabapple tree! I was completely unaware of them until I moved to Indiana and I remember going to the local nursery with a picture of one and asking what in the world it was and them looking at me like I was addled. I immediately planted 2 of them and was so sad when I left them when we sold our old house last Spring. I was thrilled to have inherited one very large one here at our new place. There will likely be more in our future!
beautiful pictures! they remind me of my grandmother's old street..... I also love lilacs this time of year....
I had written a few reply comments before the blogger crash...but they haven't come back yet...so, I'll say thank you to all, I'm so happy you like these beautiful branches as much as I do! xoxo
Meg...did you wear your camo when you got your?? ;)
Absolutely lovely images. Enchanting avatar, as well. :)
