En Avant!

It seems that Jules Verne is alive and well designing and constructing key boards and monitors.

As is George Jetson!

If I would have known this prior to making our most recent high-tech acquisition, I think I'd still be trying to decide which era in time to sit in front of on a daily basis. Which would you choose...Ornate Edwardian or Futuristic Retro?

Fancy shell or no fancy shell...I'm in love with our new computer...even though we're still getting to know each other. The old one was very sick and not much could be transferred from it to new one in a regular fashion so bit by bit, I'm moving everything over the 'old fashioned' way and it seems to be working just fine...I can't wait to see all that this baby can do!

As I said in the title...'En Avant', which in French means 'Onward' (just learned that last night in a book I'm reading)...fitting no?!

Actually, I like them both. However, the futuristic looks smoother.

Purple Flowers~ I had thought having one of each would be fun...that way, depending on the mood...you'd have both at your beck and call! ;)

Pam~ We purchased a new Dell system (Inspirion 580 model) and are now using Windows 7 Home Pemium, it's lightning fast and has so many wonderful features...I'm ecstatic about it. Our old one was ancient and slow. This post took me half the time using the new system...it was fabulous, you'd love it!

Although the Jetson inspired second choice is interesting my heart belongs to the first fantastical one. I'm a Mac girl through and through though so these will have to remain mere objects of my affection.

Like quintessence...I am a MAC 'er. I came kicking and screaming from my PC, but now am evangelical about the thing.
I think perhaps though, I could be seduced by the Jules Verne version of a keyboard...just to have it sitting somewhere to be looked at and admired.
Good luck with the learning curve.

MAC Ladies - I had visions of being a MAC girl...maybe one day...I wonder if I can be both a PC girl AND a MAC girl...that's it, lets make life more complicated, good thought Jessica! Sorry for talking to myself here...but it *would* be fun to join your club!

Elizabeth - The Steampunk ones are pretty cool...they're pieces of art...and I love the keys! xo

Oh these are so cool. I think my favorite is the first one where the keyboard looks like old typewriter keys!

I love how you are so attached to your old computer and "getting to know" your new one. I too have an ailing (Mac) and I know its time to look into a new one. I think I pat my camera on a regular basis when I walk by it so I will probably be mourning my computer when its "time".
