Hidden Garden Gem

The little beauty you see above was found hiding amongst the weedy jungle (below) that formerly was our beautiful, well loved garden. I felt a desperate need to rescue it when I found out that Mr. 24 was going to attempt to tackle said jungle.

I have no idea how it got there as we haven't planted a thing here in four years, but I'm so happy that I saw it and I'm hoping that the whole plant will thrive (it looked a bit forlorn) now that it's been set free. I believe it's a Snap Dragon and I'm thrilled that this is the first cut flower to grace a vase in our new home.

In picture number two, in the distance, you can see the next lovely, accidental garden gem (there are actually several of these) that we are going to attempt to rescue...there's a whole family of them we want to save and they are tall, pink...and foxy (hint-hint)!

Oh, to be so teased! No #3 came through. Could it be a FOXGLOVE? Love your snapdragon's deep maroon color! I seem to gravitate to that hue when I'm out walking, looking at the flowers in PT.

Is this a teaser-campaign Jessica! Where's #3!
Don't you just love it when you find these jewels amongst all the debris...sort of a metaphor for life some days isn't it?

You tricky girl :)...I love your little riddle type thingys! I'm always a day late and a $ short to answer them. I love that gorgeous deep pink color. I also love bouquets of wildflowers, so romantic and natural...

Jackie~ Sorry for the confusion, I had an oops! There was no #3...at one point there was...I honestly don't know how the goof happened...but now there's only two! I have to watch that late night posting... ;)

D~ Our "garden" is one mass of 'weedy wildflowers' at the moment...I should see what kind of bouquet they would make! xxoo

So exciting! I am not surprised. There is so much life in your place! I can't wait for the sequel when it comes to photo journalizing your yard.

That's so lovely. I know nothing about flowers or plants but I appreciate their beauty nonetheless.

p.s. It's a gorgeous colour!

The color of the snap dragon is beautiful. Wild flowers are so much nicer than nasty weeds like I get. The flowers are likely loving having the sun back this week? Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July? x
