Waking Up

After being without a computer for almost a week, I have to say it's so nice to be up and running and visiting all of you again. Our move was quite crazy but we're here...and it's wonderful.

These two images are what I have been waking up to in the new house...I thought I'd share these since the rest of the house isn't fit to be seen yet. Every morning since living here (except yesterday, Sunday), workers have been showing up first thing. One of those workers was the electrician who installed our new master bedroom light fixture, which I am in love with. I think it ties in with the "garden" outside nicely and looks like it has been there for years.

As you can see...we have no window treatments, and if I could get away with having none I would. I've loved waking up every morning to the beauty that surrounds our property but practicality is intervening and I must find something soon. I really don't want to cover them up so I'm looking for something unobtrusive...something that will disappear. Can't wait to see what shows up!

Happy homecoming Jessica...I wish you bread and salt and wine! Your bedroom light fixture is delicious. Rudy and I had one, very similar...I think two houses ago!

Thank you, thank you, and thank you ladies!!!

Jaqueline~ Love your wish for us as I was looking for the salt tonight...never found it, nor did I find the wine glasses...Rosemary bread was on the counter though! ;) xo

Ivy & Pam~ I think I *will* keep the windows "naked" for a while...at least some of them, the potties are a different story though! Thanks for the no-treatment support!xxoo

Welcome home Jessica!

Love the light fixture (as with everything else in your house)...I would assume it's on a dimmer switch. Must be stunningly atmospheric when it's softly alit.

Jessica!

The light fixture's glass looks EXACTLY like the Lalique Lily of the Valley line! I LOVE it!!!

pve~ Daily hunting expeditions seem to be the name of the game right now! Slowly finding everything...we can make toast and coffee and get dressed (sort of). ;)

Elizabeth...Thank you, it feels very good to be here! So funny you mentioned a dimmer, we need one! I just put six 60W bulbs in yesterday and a plane could land in there now, we'll definitely be installing one soon and also switching to 40's.

xoxo Jessica~

What a beautiful way to wake up Jessica! Our windows are still running around 'naked' here...it really does allow the outside to come in. And in our case, it didn't hurt that it was cheaper too!

LOVE your light fixture. So lovely and perfect.

Trina...I think "naked" is the name of the game right now for a while! We actually found some interesting stickem-up paper shades at Lowes for the bathroom and closet that surprisingly work well and look decent! Other than that....naked! ;)

I had a feeling you'd like that fixture!
