A Blue Tape Christmas

Here I thought I was capturing a lovely, somewhat shabby-chic-ish Christmas image...and lo and behold, look who snuck into the picture...our old friend Sir Blue Tape. What's to be done about it though? He and a few of his friends still happen to be our guests and have continued to work tirelessly around the house since we moved in, assisting us in the opening of certain cupboards and drawers, and more importantly, providing pops of color where there are none.

So in the spirit of the season, I've decided to embrace their presence, and just might add a touch of Christmas sparkle to help them feel a bit more festive...I think they would appreciate such a gesture very, very much! Off to fetch the glitter...

I have a bit of blue tape in my kitchen right now as well. Christmas 4 years ago, there was A LOT of blue tape, but it was still Christmas. Still a beautiful image, looking forward to seeing the finished look!

Hello Jessica:
What fun! We are no photographers and always seem to capture something less than attractive in our snaps. Add to this a general 'Titanic' feeling and you have the complete picture.

We love your 'shabby chic' arrangement, blue tape or no blue tape!!!

It is a great design! Especially a blue color is good.

Something always sneaks in. I tend to cut my photos in a loop sided manner.

A little blue never hurts - the colour of trust...

The blue is a lovely touch. I still have a piece wedged into some molding from when I painted over five years ago. :-) You have to know where it is to see it but if you're ever in Mpls I'll show you. You'd understand. :-)

p.s. I love that window!

Oh no worries, we have a few of Mr Blue tapes relatives over this way too and they seem to be breeding awfully fast, everywhere I look there they are...this was funny. Gotta see the humor in these things as you have done:)
Merry Christmas!
