One of my favorite memories was playing "Rolley Polley" on Saturday mornings in my dad's bed. With his arms around my sister on one side and me on the other, we would roll over and he would dangle us over the side of the bed as we shrieked with delight. So much fun. Thanks, dad for the memories.

Thank you for your kind wishes. I had a great father and also one of the best father-in laws, both departed, RIP.
Wishing you a joyous day

Liz...that is such a great memory...and I'm sure your dad loved your shrieks, and all the giggles that accompanied them, so cute!

Hello Jessica:
What a splendid Fathers' Day tribute. The picture is just perfect and immediately recalls for us childhoods in the 1950s.

Adorable!! I remember my father letting my brush and style his hair when I was little. Of course my mother wouldn't let me since hers was always "done". His was easy and he was so patient!!

Jane&Lance...Thank you! I love illustrations of family life from the 50's...they're so cheery and warm! xo

Quintessence...What a wonderful memory! So sweet of your father to let you be his beautician (or barber)! My mother's hair was always "done" too...so funny!
Love it, thank you for sharing...xo
