yesterday when I went to the house, I pulled into the driveway and there they were...the fun-stuff was happening - outside!
These were the very first light fixtures we purchased (Restoration Hardware)...3 years ago, and they've been sitting in storage ever since.
Note to self: Always open *every single box* (there were eight) you recieve and make sure all the parts are there so when three years down the road you are ready to install, you don't find out that there is a broken or missing anything in the lot!

This is the best part! And we had a fridge delivered in September that we didn't actually move into the kitchen until December (when the kitchen was finally finished). OF COURSE, once we unwrapped it we realized that the door opened the wrong way. And it wasn't the kind of door you could switch. So we had some explaining to do the appliance store as to how it took us nearly four months to realize this...thankfully, they exchanged it! xoTrina
Trina...cracking up!!! OF COURSE the fridge door was on the wrong side...why wouldn't it be!?! Hilarious! Another adventure indeed! ;)
Thank goodness the appliance store worked with you...we still have a toilet for sale, actually two! xxoo Jessica
Love your fixtures!
kelley
As always...impeccable taste.
Awwwe Kelley and Elizabeth...you ladies are so kind! Thank you!J~
Kelley! Just saw your little pea-pod square! Thanks for following! :)
Jessica~
i have so many random things in my garage... towel bars, light fixtures a sink... why do i hang on to them?
i love your lights... xx
I love these...they look just very vaguely like acorns which I think is so appropriate with the backdrop of that lovely tree.
Pam~ You *must* be saving up all those random goodies for YOUR OWN island house! ;)
Laura~ Good eye! There seems to be an acorn theme happening with quite a few of the light fixtures ...wasn't planned...inside there are a few also. Maybe we should change the name from 24 Corners to Acorn Landing or something!
Thanks for stopping by!
Beeea-utiful! Let there be light! The front porch light is so symbolic too.
Excellent "note to self", by the way. Been there, done that. It's a must to check the contents of the box immediately.
xoxo
We just came back from "trying" to check the other boxes that arrived yesterday because...we learned our lesson...and the electrician was there on a SUNDAY and had already put them all up! Thank goodness they all worked out (because once installed - no returning) and all the pieces were there. Whew!
We do try....xo
I stand corrected! Living room pendants...not quite right, almost...but not quite. I suppose we were just dazzled and surprised by all the fixtures being up that we didn't notice right away that the canopy (the part that hits the cieling) wasn't the one we ordered. They still look great so now we have to decide which direction to take! Oh bother...
wonderful fixtures...you're getting closer...
